A word from our founders

As the global population grows, our demand for food is only increasing. Over the past decades we have intensively farmed large swathes of land in unsustainable ways to produce food, yet widespread food insecurity is still an urgently demanding problem.

Heatwaves, floods, droughts, hurricanes and wildfires and war all threaten the agricultural land that provides us with the food we need to survive. Even in the past two years we have seen global supply chains become so disrupted that food scarcity became real even to those that thought they were immune.

At Loop Farms we are bringing food production into the heart of vibrant urban centres, complementing the production from traditional farming with scalable, modular, closed loop farms. With off-grid systems that can feed a community without producing waste, we believe we can increase food security and reduce our reliance on agriculture-related land degradation and emissions to keep communities food secure and healthy.
